I have a dell latitude D630, and whenever I plug a headphone to the audio jack on the laptop, I hear this 'noise' sound on my headphones. At first i thought it was the headphones, so i tried different ones, and same noise. I tried turning the mic off, but after turning it off I still hear the noise. I can only hear this 'noise' whenever I plug the headphones in. If i use the external speakers, this noise is not heard. Any other troubleshooting ideas you guys suggest?
