Audio help, please!!!

im trying to use my audigy 2's digital out, and hook it up to my reciever's (yamaha rx-v2300) coax input, and get 5.1 to come out of my speakers, but to no avail. ive tried everything i can think of, and would be greatful for any suggestions at all.

edit: when i play a movie, it comes through in 5.1, but not games or music.

you could pass the signal as analog out to ensure the 5.1

That wont work.

The A2s can't encode DD from games.

Either connect via 5.1 analog output to your receiver if it has that connection or get a card that can encode DD in real time.

Yeah, there are several now. X-mystique, Montego, etc.
