Audio help needed.

Hey Folks,

I'd like some help to get my audio sorted out for my PC. currently use the build-in MB audio from my ASUS board, but I would like to pipe that audio to some bookshelf speakers I have in the office.

In the end it would be great if I had one small cheap amp that I could plug into my PC at one end and have my speakers and headset (with Mic) plug into in the other. I can always plug the mic separately, but would love to have it all in one.

I used to use an old AMP for this, but it was too big and used too much power and eventually broke.

I'd really like something small cheap and simple.

thanks for the help!

Small amps: http://www.parts-express.com/cat/amplifiers/106

I would recommend one, but I have this: http://www.parts-express.com/lepai-4x45w-mini-amplifier-with-remote-usb-mp3-media-card-fm--310-304

And the remote died day 1 and the FM tuner stopped working.

And if you don't already have one, grab one of these: http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021815&p_id=5598&seq=1&format=2

Monoprice is where I usually buy all of my cables, they have tons of various lengths and qualities to choose from.

Thanks for the response. Some of the reviews indicate that your amp can only output in the 5Watt range before clipping and dropping out. Is that your experience? Does it boost the volume pretty well?

Also on the monoprice suggestion, I'm with you there. Been using them for a while. you can't beat the price and next day shipping for less than standard mail.

thanks

I didn't really have much of a problem at all with the amp itself. I used it at the office to drive Energy RC-10's for a little while. They didn't get all that loud, but definitely more than capable of being loud enough for an office setting. I didn't run into any clipping issues; just the tuner and remote breaking. I honestly wouldn't recommend it because of that. I'd recommend getting one of the other models that have more reviews.
