I know you ppl probly hear these "?s" all the time but when I did a search I came up with nothing so I'm going to ask this.
I just bought my self a new audio card "Audigy 2" and it does not seem to work in linux "Mandrake 9.1" however it does work in windows.
I tried it in kde 3.1 and Gnome 2.2- "The sound server is enable and set up right" I had a yamaha card in the pc before and it worked perfectly all thoe I reformated for the new card "xmms is configure to work with oss drivers ect ... "I did try arts and some of the other drivers and no works" When I open a music file in xmms "I also tried other media players" the file will play just like any audio file would but no matter how much I mess with the vol nothing comes out of the card. I redid linux 4 times already and can't get this thing to work. I install the open soruce drivers and it told me I already had all the drivers and tools on the system.
Any help or advice or a point to a site that can help me would be greatfull. Of all things I use a pc for it's audio and I would hate having to check out XP just because of an audio problem.
