I built my friend a comp and it has given me nothing but trouble so far. I finally fixed everything (at least i thought) but then i realize that there is no sound. I go to "control panel"> "sounds and audio devices" and then to the audio tab and there is no devices listed for sound. I installed the mobo drivers which include audio drivers so i dont know whats going on. Even if i didnt install the mobo drivers there should still be a device there. I know the mobo has onboard sound but i dont know why its not showing up.

heres a link to the mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128275

anyone have any suggestions?

probably in integrated peripherals look for something like ac 97 audio may be a couple of submenus you have to navigate your way through like onboard pci devices.

just hit enter to view whats under menu and escape to back out if you choose wrong one.
