Audio From Multiple Computers?

Hey all, long story short: I'm looking for a way to hear audio from multiple computers on a single set of headphones. I have a two system setup, and every now and then it would be nice to be able to hear the audio output of the second system as well.

Is there any kind of good, simple solution for this? Maybe a switch or small mixer? (I've already ruled out looping a system into the line-in, as that jack is already occupied)

Both at the same time?

plug the one marked mic to one systems audio out, and the one marked headphone to the other.
use a stereo y splitter if audio out is already occupied..

One at a time (switchable)? a kvm with audio like this: (just connect the things you want; whole system or just parts)

Hey Kartajan, thanks for the advice. But both of those are splitters. I want to listen to two sources at once, not send one system to two sets of headphones.:)

The switchable KVM is a bit closer to what I had in mind. Though I just need something for audio rather than a whole KVM.

Splitters can work as combiners, the first link would be plugged into 2 systems and your single headphones.
The second link is for splitting if needed.

But hey- whatever works, right?

Might be a tad over kill but would look cool.

I was going to say, a basic mixer is what you need. Ebay / Craigslist is filled with them.

I have a $20 switch that I use to switch my audio from my PC to ps4 for the same set of speakers. Amazon.

I have my main library, containing all my music, on my desktop and smaller libraries on my laptops. I have networked all my hard drives and use a player, like Mediamonkey, JRiver, Winamp, to select the folders\hard drives\computers I want to listen to. Works for me...

you could just take the 3.5 cable from each computer tie them together and T off with another cable to you headphones.

I'm surprised to see that this thread was resurrected.

At any rate, I was unable to find a true mixer that fit the bill. The losses with unpowered mixers are just too great.

So instead I went with a simple switch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073GWCRP3 It has a nice, visceral click to it.:D
