audio driver help

i just installed xp on my compaq presario V2000 and i have all the stuff working except the multimedia audio driver, i have went to hp.com and tried those drivers but they dont work. Thanks
 
Looks like you up for some good ole trial and error. I didn't find any Ati drivers in the v2000 CTO section, are you saying that's what it should have?
 
I found these drivers for the V2000 CTO here.

If these are the wrong drivers, there may be video issues but it will not damage your machine. So, give 'em a try and if no joy, reboot to safe mode and remove them.
