I have the Audigy Platinium under Win XP.I use the opical out to connect to my reciever the problem is the reciever only sees two chanels L and R under digital. When I test the speakers under the utility only those two makes sound. I want the rest of them to sound center SR and SL help!!!!!!!!

All the digital outs are stereo only unless you are passing a AC3 stream. If you use the 1/8 digital jack on the back of the card you can get 4 channel digital with the black/white rca plug sending the fronts, with the red sending the surrounds. Only problem being I haven't seen a receiver that can play 2 digital inputs at once, so not sure how that is supposed to work. The easiest way to get more than 2 channels is to use 5.1 channel analog to your receiver.

I use the Audigy Platinum eX and have a Creative DTT3500 speaker system, and I have two connections to the receiver. I use optical out exclusively for DVD only, and digital DIN for everything else.
