in UT2004 when i select any type of hardware sound, i get small constant stutters, there'll be a little pause (less than 1/4 of a second but noticable) every 2 seconds, jus like as if something is still loading
but it happens through out the game, and i know nothing is still loading becuase i got 768Mb RDRAM and have turned off pre-loading all playerskins
when i move back to software audio, all is fine, but then that defeats the purpose of the audigy, i want EAX but i jus cant play with them little glitches every 2 seconds
now its been doin this since i installed a Belkin 5 port USB2.0 PCI card, so im pretty sure it is that. i have new drivers for everything (chipset, audigy, catalyst, and even the PCI card) but its stil doin the same, belkin tech support seems non existant at the minute too
so im 95% sure that the USB2.0 card has something to do with it, so u might say well take it out....but i cant i need to have it in. would puttin it below the sound card in the PCI slots make any difference?
im sure its stealing more bandwidth on th epci bus than is needed
