OK a couple ways to go here

Order from Outpost.com for $79 (plus shipping) outpost

-or-

Use the outpost price to PM someplace, I did mine at Staples B&M, i got away without shipping etc. (YMMV)

PM to $77 (110%)
get some other stuff thats free after rebate to put you over $100
-$15 coupon.
-or-
PM 2 of them for $154 -$30 coupon = $124 or $62 a piece....
-or-
PPM at a place with a bigger coupon OD, or OM

Try which ever way you like, and which ever works!

Not bad, every place seems to sell them for $99.

price matching is my least favourite way to get a deal.

especially the time spent and whatever cost of transportation needed to convince the manager.

i agree with XoMartel, PMing w/ managers can be very frustrating (yeah with a bit luck it can be sweet too).

Price matching does suck but for $20 off an Audigy it wouldn't be too difficult. The sound card is awesome (Yea, I paid $99 a month after it came out). But you can get these for $91 at TCWO.com but $79 is straight up pimp.

he he he .........for those lucky ones like me .........

don't PM at the store

Use amex + something like buyer assurance ( www.pricewatch.com ) to get back double the difference.

It helps to buy from the most costly place then 😀

Nice deal from Amazon, I have been looking for one for a few weeks now.... Just saw some guy pay $78 for one on Ebay..🙁

Got it for $79 +$6.52 for tax

<< audigy+via motherboard(amd)+winxp=pathetic sound >>

yeah, i just bought an audigy..and have winxp and a via mb...and now the soundcard "pops" all the time.....very annoying. are they ever going to fix this?

There's a work around I think... it has to do something with the audio rate where you have to lower it as it defualts too high I think. I can't remember where I saw the thread in one of the other AT Harware forums awhile back. I sure someone can link it.

Ya, if anyone sees this around, i have been running my microsoft digital speakers off the USB for good sound and bypassing the sad audigy.
this solution works, but not for much other than mp3 playback.

Why pay $79 for an Audigy with all the packaging and stuff that you're just going to throw away when you can buy an OEM Audigy for $66 SHIPPED from newegg? 😉

I bought an audigy retail (when they first came out) over the OEM because they are NOT THE SAME. The OEM has cheaper connectors compared to the retail's gold leads.

What sound card is REALLY good for music? I want to hook up my PC to my HT setup, but I have a LIVE and it just doesn't sound that great. (I will never buy another creative product again, im pissed with their drivers)

I was thinking of a santa cruz....
