Audigy 2

If I upgrade to a Audigy 2 from a 5.1 live, will there be a big difference in audio quality? Will you notice the difference when listening to mp3s?

I believe the Audigy2 sounds much cleaner, and better in my opinion. You won't be disapointed. Not to mention it's a great gaming card.

The Envy24HT cards supposedly sounds even better than the Audigy2. They use a bit more CPU though.

Depending on your speakers you may or may not notice the difference.
With budget speakers you'll probably not notice any difference but the difference will be clear with higher quality speakers.

The difference is noticeable even with average headphones. Of course if your hearing is crap then it shan't be. Even so, the game performance will still be noticeable. 🙂
