on my new build i am looking at the audigy 2 zs but i would like to kno if the extra costs of the platinum/platinum pro are worth it. my main issue is that i need a card that has digital coax out so that i can use it with my pioneer reciever.
 
Hi.

The only real difference, between the two, is that the Pro, has a break out box. It has Digital decoder etc. If you are just going to use it for gaming, and listening to music, stick with the plain ZS.

 
i would go with the platinum.why? so you wont have to post like me and some other peeps regarding how to connect their case's front ports to the soundcard. so if those ports are not really a biggie for you then by all means go with plain ZS. 😀
