Connections from left to right... with the right most port being the ieee1394.

1) Digital Out = Digital Connection to speakers, or for analog speakers it becomes the Rear Center Speaker
2) Line In
3) Mic In
4) Output #1 = Front Speakers
5) Output #2 = Rear Speakers
6) Output #3 = Center Speaker
7) ieee1394 Port

And yes, I actually have the card.

Look at the card compared to the Audigy 1 and you will see that there is an extra output. On the original Audigy, the Center Channel could be toggled between center channel and Digital out.

The cable is bundled... why are you even doubting?

6.1 channels and it's done via 3 outputs. two stereo ones and one triple-output. makes seven.

No it's not.. and there is no "bundled cable". See my other post. 6.1 is done via 4 outputs. I have the card and have tested it with 6.1.

For those wondering about the card.... (Note that I have the Platinum version) The Audigy 2 has without question given me the best "out of the box" experiece that I've had with a gaming soundcard. With the Audigy 2 I'm hearing sounds in BF1942 that I never heard with the Audigy 1... not only that, but the effects themselves sound brilliant... sound quality, placement, etc. It's also worth mentioning that the performance seems greatly improved over the Audigy 1 when using EAX. The stutters that I was normally getting in games with EAX are now gone.. ala. NFS5 and UT2k3.

just to add more certainty...

my asus a7n266-vm nforce 220d motherboard is capable of turning it's line-in jack to a stereo out....only when in 4 channel mode...and the mic jack can turn into another analog out w/ 6-channel enabled.

also, my aopen ak7333 kt333 board using an avance ac'97 audio can do the same thing...

so it would be absolutely no surprise if the creative card was doing something similar.

Well, I just got mine, and their is no 4th analog out, all 6.1 channels come from the 3 analog outs like the charts say. Out of curiousity I plugged the digital out into the rear center input on my receiver and all I got was a very unpleasent buzz which I'm sure isn't good for the speaker.

Yes, as I was saying... Creative uses THREE outputs to get analog 6.1.

Two stereo channels (that's 4 channels) and one triple channel (sub, front center, rear center).
The specs. on Creative's website show SNR and etc. for 3 outputs.. and yes.. that's three analog outputs.

Codehack2 doesn't know what he (she?) is talking about.. sigh... sad for such people.

Not sure I'd be calling people out if I were you, seeing as you said the card came with the necessary cables, which it doesn't, and you supposedly even work for the company.

Decisions can be made in a blink of an eye. Also, packages can differ between regions (I'm not saying they do, but I'm saying they can).

Nice cover Confucius... enlighten us with a link to this "cable". Creative has websites per region you know. So sad...
