Nice review. I'll still take a TT thank you :)

My boss(president of the company) owns an S2000. It's nice, but it's not a TT. There's something about the TT that gives it some finess that the S2000 doesn't have. I guess it's more of a German vs. Japanese thing. German cars just seem to drip "class" and finess while Japanese cars go more for the cut and dry "this is what you get" appeal. I just find the German styling, cockpits, and materials more of my liking. They have more atmosphere than the cut and dry Japanese interiors.

Performance wise, I'd go w/ an AWD over the RWD any day. I also don't like the idea of having to drive an engine one tick away from redline to get the "oomph" out of it.

But that's just me :)

Yeah....I had the chance to take a TT out for a spin a while back ago...really incredible roadster (puts my old Z3 to shame). The interior of the TT is fantastic...although I can see how some people may be put off by the 'art deco' effects.
I really considered getting one when I was shopping around last year but I decided to "settle" for something more practical ;) .....and the sudden realization that tall guys look like dorks in corvertibles! :p (Heck, the headliner on the Z3 was at eye level on me)

RWD vehicles will always have more Power performance. AWD is nice out of the hole like you see from Syclones and Typhoons but RWD still kills it. But AWD kicks for everyday driving in the northern states.

I hear ya on the no Redline, Thats why I love the 351 :) 207 at 5900 RPM in that TT kinda bums me out too

I'm a diehard Honda fan... but this pair up makes me feel iffy. For a daily driver, I think the TT wins. Easier to drive (don't need to rev as hard to get it going) and all wheel drive. The Honda will be my choice if it was for a weekend car. Definitely more fun to drive (well, I never drove a TT, merely sat in it, felt a little tight in there, probably the rake of the windshield) with the engine having to be pushed to the 8000rpm mark, and RWD... (Audi is usually in FWD, until the AWD kicks in).

I am still young. I have no need for class. I don't drive to look cool, I drive for fun. Give me the car with the 9k rpm redline.

I think the review was quite accurate. TT is for those who really aren't into a stiff chassis, superb handling, knock your socks off adrenaline type fun. S2000 has my vote, the TT is a love/hate thing for its looks. The S2000 will give the TT a serious ass wooping in most any road course. S2000 all the way.

As for a high redline, and worries about damagine the car? Gimme a break :) You can drive her up there all day long. The car is handbuilt to play up there until your hearts content.

I'm in the market for a new car, and I have been thinking about this car. I wonder if the dealerships have any, or if they are extremely popular.

<< The S2000 on the other hand is a car that was created for the single purpose of socially irresponsible driving, a dream car for the true enthusiast. >>

Yeah, that sounds like me.

<< After getting out of the S2000 every other car feels heavy, cumbersome, imprecise, untrustworthy and just plain less fun. It is the one car I desire for myself more than any other. >>

That's the type of car I want to drive

What's with people going crazy over the Audi S8? It's nothing special. It has a 380hp V8 and does 0-60 in around 6.1 seconds. The Infiniti Q45 has a 340hp V8 and does the 0-60 in around 5.8 seconds. It's also gonna be much cheaper than the S8 and in my opinion has a better interior.

The S8 goes for around 100+K CDN (saw it at the Toronto Autoshow). The Q45 goes for ~75K CDN. I don't think the Quattro system in the S8 is worth the difference.

I can understand the hype surrounding the S4 because it is an amazing car..but the S8 doesn't do much for me. I'm waiting for the Q45t which is supposedly gonna have 360+hp making it a viable M5 competitor (I doubt that will happen though).
