Also, no hardtop is kind of lame in 2009 in this class.

Soft-tops are much more practical if you ever plan on having your top down with anything in your trunk. Add in the 300lb weight savings as well for a sportier ride.

I think the real reason is he likes the four door M3 so much that he needed to legitimize BMW again so that he could condone liking it.
