Ok.

I just got through dealing with this auction troll. I bid on this guy's laptop because the price was low and I was feeling happy. A few mins after I win, I get an email from him saying that he will _only_ take money orders and I should send him one immediately. Of course, this raises a big red flag for me and I go to check his ratings.

This guy must have had the sorriest faked ratings Id ever seen. His only positive rating was from a (yahoo) auction user whose name *just happened to* be very similar to his email address and whose location (Scott Depot, WV) *just happened to* be the same as the seller's. The rating was given on an item titled "100 mmhz laptop" with a one-line description and a buy price of $1.00. The auction started at 5:23 pm and ended at 5:23pm. He(1) gave himself(2) a positive rating "...BEST TO DEAL WITH! If this guy puts an item up, you can bet I'll bid on it!" at 5:26pm and he(2) gave himself(1) another positive rating at 5:24pm.

This guy's crookedness was obvious, but I bid on the item and I was determined to pay for it. I started an iescrow transaction and got back a misspelled version of "i dont do escrow because I dont know how". He then had the ~nerve~ to threaten to post a negative feedback and file a complaint with yahoo if I didnt send him a money order. Of course, I didnt, and he did. Hes gonna be in for a world of hurt when I find a link to reciprocate on his complaint.

But wait! Theres more!
I had a look at him(2)'s other auctions. He is selling (for $390, so far) an item titled "Playstation 2! 3 games! Please
look! $350". When I looked at the description, I found a statement that "this is a drawing. There will only be 2 people entering, and I already have the first person. You are paying for the entry on this auction, however if you win, you will get the playstation 2 free! I am charging a minimum of $350." Obviously, the only winner of this "drawing" will be him.

Does this guy really think people are that stupid? Somebody should send him to the two Nicks or alexnguyen for troll training (jail). His attempts at ripping people off are truly pathetic.

Wait till I find yahoo's "complaint" link!

EDIT: Note: There is no point to this post!

That is bad... the sad thing is people like him get away with stuff all the time. Best hope is that his parents find out and that they are decent enough people to deal with him (I bet he is under 16...)

His name isn't "James Mead" is it? :) (read heatware's reviews for a picture of _HOW_ low this guy is)
