Auburn deserves to be number 2 in the BCS

Manhandled another top 10 BCS team -- a team that was number 5 in one poll and number 8 in another. A team that had one loss(to a team we'd already beaten). Why does Oklahoma escape week after week and not slide any, yet we've played great all season and haven't moved up. Only one team has scored more than 14 points on us, and that was Arkansas(number 1 scoring offense in the SEC).

Someone explain how USC and Oklahoma barely winning each week makes them better than Auburn.

If you don't lose you shouldn't lose your spot in the BCS either. ESPECIALLY if you are # 1 or #2.

If you win you win, if you lose you lose. It doesn't matter if its by a point or a 100, the bottom line is did you win?

Now I know thats not entirely fair cause some teams have pretty cake schedules compared to others, but thats why I think we need a playoff system in college ball, that way we can get a true championship match up, not just who we *think* are the best 2. Cause every year we guess, sometimes we are right, other times we are wrong. The bottom line is that there are over 100 college football teams, there is no way to figure out which TWO are the best without a playoff system of some sort. Its hard enough to figure it out with 32 teams in the NFL. College football is 1000x more difficult.

One more time, WE NEED PLAYOFFS!

hmm bcos till this week auburn's schedule has been weeker than the top 2 (by old SOS), ofcourse if they win out they definetely had a very legit claim to be #2

How is Cal better than USC when USC beat them?

Edit: Not that I really care since I like Auburn more than both combined. 😛

#2?! They deserve to #1, but everyone hates on the SEC.

I disagree, they are considered the best conference in football by the experts. Unfortunately the computer is hating on them

Pac 10, USC and Cal are #1 and #4

The experts say that the SEC is down this year, a few talking heads are living in the past. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.c.../09/mailbag/index.html

If they can finish out the season including the SEC champion ship and not be #1 the BCS is an absolute friggin joke....but then again everyone knows that.

An absolutely impressive game against Georgia, it's a shame they lost the shutout though.

Boo, to all the voters who continue to suck USC and Sooner bummmm. They would lose horribly even worse than the Sooners did last year to LSU

The Pac 10 if you believe the pollsters....USC overrated...Cal way overrated...I'm sorry but the #1 team in the nation is not one that squeaks out victories which both of these teams have done on way more than 1 time.

Why should a team who h asn't lost a game in a long time go down in rank? That doesn't make sense. They need to have playoffs, its COMPLETELY unfair to punish a team for not winning by a lot. Last I checked the goal in football was to win, not to run up the score to look good to pollsters.
