atx II psu with short cables

Looking to build a couple of new boxes with mitx boards or a micro atx board . My main problem is I would like to get a standard atx psu but with short cables so I don't have a major air flow problem. I plan on using fairly small cases and in the past even a micro atx tower case has trouble keeping the cables at bay. any suggestions. I have thought about a pico supply whihc would be ok for myself but not for family. Thanks in advance
