Hi everyone,

I'm in the hunt for a spacious midi case. I want it to comfortably go in hand my my dual processor setup and motherboard. Please be so kind to help me scan all the case manufactures online to find that ideal case. My concerns is that it's built properly (I can't bend the steel like in some cheap cases) and it's also good look which helps having to look at it for long hours and if it's quiet then that's a bonus too. Post any url's you may know and recommend any cases you have had good experiences with in the past.

Many thanks.

Im with Fkloster on this one. I have a 7896A Server tower case and it just rocks. there is a ton of room in there. Its fairly heavy though when its full. Im going to be building a friend a comp. using the 6896a.

There is also that other case that looks like an IBM server case. I have no clue who sells it or what it is called. I remember it being on hot deals about a month ago..

Take a look at the Enlight 7105. I bought mine after a lot of research. It has the most external drive bays (3x5 & 2x3) for its height of anything I looked at. It does this by mounting the power supply on edge above the motherboard. This is possible since 1) the case is 8.5 inches wide, and 2) the motherboard and rear face is "hinged" at the top of the rear face. Access is very easy.

One of the features I use a lot is the 3x3 drive cage which is accessible from the front after snapping off the front panel. I have my floppy drive and two hard drives mounted there and I can swap hard drives or arrange them master/slave very easily ... and I do often. One hard drive is W98SE and the other is W2K. I like to be able to run them separately or together as I experiment with W2K (I'm still trying to get to the W2K setup to the point where it's as good as W98SE).

The power supply fan is not the quietest, but it's tollerable.

The case is fairly inexpensive. I got mine with a 230 Watt PS from I C Direct for $52 + $18 shipping in September, 1999.

Take a look at Antec. I have the Antec KS188 full tower and the KS280 mid tower and I am very happy with their quality. I think they give good value for the money.

Could you people please post the links to those cases on the web? I've heard Enlight, I think you know what you mean but I'll have to see the image to know for sure.

Thanks.
