ATTN: Integrals, TA Cube pproxy now open for business.:-)

Russ

Lifer
For those of you who would like to use it, she's now rockin'.😀

IP address is 207.108.218.138 Thus, your ini file would have this entry:

[networking]
autofindkeyserver=no
keyserver=207.108.218.138

And, thru the wizardry and magic of Brad (BPhantom), you can also use tacube.teamanandtech.com Entry would look like this:

[networking]
autofindkeyserver=no
keyserver=tacube.teamanandtech.com

To check stats:

http://207.108.218.138/proxy/statsview/output/index.html

Or:

http://tacube.teamanandtech.com/proxy/statsview/output/index.html

Nic,

Yes, if you want to remain a part of the mini team you'd still need to use rc5@tacube.com. The advantage of our own pproxy is that you can go in to the "Hosts" section and, if you know your IP address or name, you can see your own contribution. However, if you're with an ISP that many other members are using, it'll still get mixed in.

Besides, it's cool to have our own.😀

Russ, you should modify your download disks so that the line change is already there from now on. Less work to do for future drones and Integrals.

Harrald,

Just open it up with any word processor, such as Word, Wordpad, or Notepad (best choice). Just make sure that you save it as "text". If you used the TA Cube install disk, it will be located in the RC5 folder.

Galactus,

I will be doing just that as soon as I get time.🙂

I see the virus finally reached TA Cube: some of you are becoming individuals! :Q 🙂

If I could have been an individual, I might have joined the Borg, too.

Ok,
It's to large for notepad. Also when I open it in wordpad it's all code.

Am I looking in the wrong folder? I opened the "dnetc" file in the folder I installed the RC5 program in. Could it be somewhere else?

I hate to sound like a nit-wit but I can't help it. Basic code I can do.

I think you opened the dnetc.exe, the file you want should have an icon that looks like a notepad with a little yellow wheel on it, it's called dnetc.ini and should only be a couple hundred bytes at most. Perhaps in your folder options you have "hide file extensions" checked....

Hello again all,

Is there anything else I should have done?

I changed the .ini file and it's still flushing through a different place.

Sorry to be a pain. But I have no life.

Harrald,

Did you remember to restart the client? It only reads the ini file when it starts up. When it's setup correctly, and you fetch or flush, the pproxy message should say:

TA Cube - Resistance Is Futile!

Russ, NCNE

Hehe! You should print that out and send it as a Christmas card to all of the Borg drones, just to let them know that their leader truly cares! 🙂 (Or maybe the Federation could use it to find the Borg's weak spot!? 😉)

ok getting the hang of this but here's an interesting question.

If I'm behind a firewall and have to use HTTP and my firewall proxy to get data in/out
6) Keyserver<->client connectivity options
4) Firewall/proxy protocol ==> HTTP
5) Firewall hostname ==> proxy.compaq.com
6) Firewall port ==> 8080

Can I still somehow use the tacube.teamanandtech.com proxy. Four of the computers are behind a firewall and I'm sure that I'm flushing directly to dnet but with the rc5@tacube.com id.

Update: I have sucessfully connected to clueless.2y.net through my HTTP proxy.

Is tacube.teamanandtech.com able to receive connections through http proxty port 80?

Nic,

No, the pproxy only accepts connections on port 2064. You might be able to get through by using the IP address, instead of the name. I'll take a look at opening port 80.

Sukhoi,

Two relieved himself.🙂
