Dang you! Ever heard of a PM? :)

Got them out, declined nitrous and valium and just went with the novacaine. Not really one to have my mind messed with. I no longer look like a chipmunk, but there's some swelling in my jaw that I'm not sure is supposed to be there... going to get it double checked tomorrow. Thanks.

PM?

Bbbbbbut that doesn't add to post count! :D

Glad to hear everything went well. Try putting some (more?) ice on it, as that should reduce the swelling greatly.

PMs don't count toward postcount, though ;)

And I think he's been drinking a wee bit this evening.

Just a hunch.....

It's been iced for the last six days! The soft swelling in the cheeks has gone down, but on the left side there's some hard swelling in the jaw. Is that a sign of the dreaded dry socket?

Okay, I'm feeling left out here. Why does everyone seem to be getting threads dedicated to them? *Sniffle* ;)

Paige - I hope you feel okay. *HUG*

I'm no doctor, so it's hard to say.

From what i've read, you'd be in some SERIOUS pain if you have dry socket. If you have any concerns it's probably wise to contact your orthodontist.

It wasn't that bad, and I was fully awake the whole time. The afterwards part isn't so fun, but I stayed on anti-inflammatories for quite a while and only took a few pain pills.

Hi Heather! Drop by GottaDeal and I'll make you a thread.

No drinking for me.

I'm at work!

You finally afforded dental service, Hot Chic? I remember you saying you didn't have the money for it due to your educational expenses. I even remember the case of that guy ImTyping. You gave that response there too when he mocked/insulted you.

Cool if you could afford it now. Did it take care of crowding? I was about to chew N8Magic--along with others--for neffing, but I found this pretty interesting. I mean, he could have PMed you, but good thing he mentioned it publicly. I say that since you had publicly mentioned things about it before. (Or maybe I missed your mention of it earlier.)

A dry socket is VERY VERY PAINFUL.......do exactly what your dentist says. And NO sucking on anything (lemon drop, straw in a soda).

Like I said, going in tomorrow to check, but there's no SERIOUS pain so I think I'm in the clear. How come this thread is the only one non locked? Because we're not neffing? Or, we're doing something in addition to neffing?

I *wish* I could afford orthodontial work. No, I just shelled out the money to get my wisdom teeth out because I had to. I still can't afford braces or any of the other work I need, ~$4,500.

Wow, the ImTyping thing happened a LONG time ago. He emailed me after he was banned, friendly-like.

I don't think this will make you feel any better, but when I got my wisdom teeth out I was out with my friends eight hours later and never used ice or medication after that point and I had no swelling at all (my dentist gave me one steroid before the operation which he said is what stopped the swelling).

Actually, it depends upon what part of Cali you are in. But you don't live too far from cheap cities such as Sacramento, Stockton, uhmm. . . .

You can actually pay approximately $2500 (possibly cheaper) if you buy the dental discount plan. They don't cost much usually for monthly and yearly service. And the orthodontists usually have payment options for people who can't afford much.

Good then. I remembered him when I saw a member that seemed exactly like him and lived at same state of residence. Their interests seem similar and views, particularly about women, seem similar. The difference this time is the new guy has toned it a bit. They struck me as perhaps connected. If he apologised and toned it, then so be it. It wouldn't matter if he's connected.

He actually didn't apologize, just PMed me to bitch about the mods because he didn't do anything wrong, did he? I don't believe I answered him.

[edit] Oh yeah, and about orthodontial work: I just graduated and have NO money in the bank, still looking for a job, and about to move to Seattle. We'll see, when I have the finances.

He made this comment about how he violated ladies like you when he was in college. And then a few other statements.

If you want to see the thread, I can show you (if my memory recollects the subject title).

Anyway, at some point it wasn't hard to construe it that way. He started to back down after responses from people and your response. However, he was banned nonetheless.
