Whats your favorite mixing software? Just basic blending and beat matching.

I'm trying to compile a trance mix with the newest tracks that were just released for person use.

I currently use ATOMIX mp3, but it like skips when i'm recording, and with that skip, it usually messes up the whole "Set"

I'm looking for somethign very easy to use and works in windows 2000.

Thanks In Advance.

use acid... theres a bit of a learning curve... but the increased functionality and power makes it worth it..

I started with Acid but there is an extremely steep learning curve with it. I played around with Acid Pro for like 4 hours and I only know like 25% of the functionality of the app. Check out Traktor...pretty easy to use and fun program.

On a side note, has anyone used FruityLoops to create their music? I'm trying to learn it but am having a really tough time with it. I wanna mostly make trance/techno loops

I heard 2 guys use FruityLoops live, and I must say it sucked. Check into a program called reason or something like that?

Maybe I have to resort to the manual, but it doesn't seem like you can do that much with PC DJ so far.

Instead of PCDJ try out Tractor instead, It's made by the same people but is much more advanced. You can do stuff like automated beat loops and things. I am not sure if there is a demo version so see if you can get hold of a copy by other means. I have no idea if it works on win 2000 though, 98 is fine. Here is the list of my favourite trance songs ever, for no reason other than it is at hand!:

1.) Astral Projection - Mahadeva '96 version
2.) Jan Johnston - Flesh (DJ Tiesto Remix)
3.) System F - Exhale
4.) Perpetous Dreamer - The Sound of Goodbye (Armin Van Buuren Mix)
5.) Astral Projection - Nilaya
6.) Sunscreem Vs. Push - Please save me
7.) Resistance D - Feel so high
8.) Stoneproof - She does (Quivver Mix)
9.) Man with no name - Vavoom!
10.) Push - Strange World (2000 edit)
11.) Lost Tribe - Games Master (Original mix)
12.) Iio aka Vaiio - Rapture (Riva & Deep Dish Mixes)
13.) BT - Mercury & Solace (Transa, Quivver or Mark Shimmon Mixes)
14.) DJ Tiesto - Flight 643 (Original Mix)
15.) Lovechild - Liberta
16.) Technique - Sun is shining (Matt Darey Mash up Mix)
17.) Skip Raiders - Come back to me
18.) Kosheen - Catch (Ferry Corsten Mix)
19.) Veracocha - Carte Blanche
20.) Jennifer Lopez - Waiting for Tonight (Hex Hector Mix) (11 minute version)

Cheers
