Dad handed it to me today, said he bought one for me and one for my brother thinking it might be valuable.

It's the first issue of Primortals by Leonard Nimoy. Still has the card and game piece in it as advertised on the front.

have a look see

I also have Issue #500 of Superman... one sealed in the origional wrapping, and one unsealed.

Are any of these of any value?

its hard to break into the comic industry especailly w/ marvel, DC, and image comics dominated most of the market. personally i dont think that'll hold too much value unless it becomes a nation wide hit.

Wouldn't being popular and pleantiful reduce it's value?

no because they are printed in editions. if a comic gets popular enough it'll get reprinted again. the new edition is exactly the same as the old one except it'll 2nd edition in small print somewhere on the cover, usually below the bar codes. that way the original keeps its value.

think of basic economics. supply and demand. the more people want it the more they'll reprint it. but collectors want original 1st editions thus driving up the price of originals.

God, I remember when TechnoComix came out... and then went away.

I'm thinking those aren't worth too much. Silver age/golden age is where the money's at.
