X800XTPE/X850XTPE Temps?
__________________________________________________________
EDIT: ATTN: BBA ATI X800XTPE/X850XTPE OWNERS"

Can anyone BBA owners please confirm their gpu temps 'under load'

Thanks in Advance
______________________________________________________________

Can someone confirm the 'load' temps of reference cooled X800XTPE or X850XTPE ATI/Sapphire cards? I am about to purchase and have narrowed my search to an X800XTPE/X850XTPE. My primary concern now is temperatures under load. I am finding conflicting information concerning load temps of these cards.
I understand that HIS cards w/ICeQ give an avg temp drop of -11ºc over reference cooled boards. Unfortunately the HIS Excalibur X800XTPE ICeQ II is almost impossible to find here in Canada.
My question: What are the 'load' temps of ATI/Sapphire X800XTPE/X850XTPE boards?
Can anyone confirm the load temps of the X800XTPE/X850XTPE reference design cooled cards from ATI/Sapphire?

Thanks in Advance!

Guru3D reports the X850 XT Platinum 42c normal and 60c on load:

GamePC reports the X850XT PE at 55ºc idle and 92ºc under load:

TweakNews reports the X800XT PE at 39ºc normal and 56ºc under load:

Yes, stock.

I would be interested in hearing if anyone changed to a Silencer, to see if it cools better.

Hard to find in Canada? I thought most of the HIS card that were sold here in US were from Canada (well, at least those from ebay)

/bragging mode on.

28C idle.
51C load.

Yes I know you can't directly compare Pros with XT PEs, but I have it performing at about the same level.

/bragging mode off.

Idle: 30C
Load: 50C

I have a X800XT flashed to X800XT PE (normal overclock would do the job, but Windows recognizes the X800XT card as a simple X800 card, which isn't too good for my imago. :p Flashing solved it and now Windows recognizes it as a X800XT PE card). Also, ATI Silencer 4 is installed on it.

For the last time, the card in you sig is NOT performing at the same level as an X800XT PE!

Anyone else WITH X800XTPE/X850XTPE temps?
I am NOT interested in anything other than X800XTPE/X850XTPE temps Thanks!

Also Elus ?

X800XTPE/X850XTPE HIS Cars are nowhere to be found in Canada. All other HIS cards are easy to find!

Thanks

From searching the forms I am coming to this conclusion:

BBA(Built by ATI) X800XTPE/X850XTPE stock cooling is providing a superior cooling solution than Sapphire/MSI/Asus etc ? stock cooled cards.

BBA stock cooled card temps appear similar to Silencer cooled temps.

Can anyone else with stock X800XTPE/X850XTPE cooled cards please post their temps?

That's not bad but I can do better. I have a Sapphire X800 Pro soft-modded to an X800XT PE overclocked some more to 560/1200 and it idles at 20C and at full load it only hits 32C. Why? Because I have a 5250 BTU air-conditioner blowing cold air directly into my opened case!:)

we're all laughing at him because:

HiS x800 Pro @ 555 / 1110 (Haven't unlocked yet)

Gotta be careful with that. If its humid enough, and after you turn off the A/C, cold PC components can condensate moisture in the air into water droplets. Not a good thing for PC's. You might have gotten around this prob. Just a heads up. Computer rooms are usually air conditioned, but thats 24/7 and climate controlled.
