** ATTENTION FEDERATION QUEUE USERS!!! **Updated: Remapped to CKG's queue....so sorry to the TeAm **

Great TeAmwork among the Federation! 😀

[EDIT: Cad - LMK your bandwidth info for the queue thread! 🙂]
{EDIT2 - nm.... you have a queue listed up there already with the info... 😱 😛]

Thanks all....and I get the official ...

more...more...more! :Q

😀

I might emphasize the need for two queues witht the same port number listed for all the TeAm queues so that anyone could be remapped quickly if another situation arises again. I have my queue running, but it's only internal...but, in a short term situation, would open it up and remap the Fed's name back to it if CKG were to have problems. That was my second warning from my ISP, although they just shut me down for 3 days the first time with no warning 😕 :| 🙁 , so I guess I can live with it or get another ISP.....especially since their service has sucked lately! 😛

Thanks poof for the thread, CKG for the backup (you're a life saver), and to the TeAm for being so understanding! 🙂

more...more...more! :Q

Glad to see you've got it worked out Robert. I'm still available if necessary. 😉

WU!WU!WU!

😀😀😀

I would be willing to move my Q over to Port 443 just so we have another Q running on that number. I have access to all my clients so I can change the port number on them easily. I won't be able to make the change until tonight but would be willing to do that to help out the TeAm!

engineer, did you perform the dns redirect to CAD's setiq? i am showing federation.2y.net pointing to 204.71.108.117 and responding, but not connecting on port 443.

just a fyi 🙂

not workin for me either, he is checking on it 🙂

Yup - holy jeebuz those WUs take some space:Q

Basically it crashed cuz I didn't have enough disk space. I'm in the process of setting up a different computer(with a bigger drive) to house the Queue.

Sorry for the downtime but I did everything I could do to get out of work early to come home and fix it😉

Sorry😱

All should be well now though 🙂

Thank you for your reply.

Your system was found to be running an HTTPS server on port 443.
However, a recent scan shows this service is either disabled or
protected behind a properly-configured firewall.

Our network management team is required to enforce the Insight
AUP/Terms & Conditions available online at
www.insightbb.com/terms_conditions. This enforcement involves
periodically scanning customer systems for open server applications.
With the newer versions of Microsoft's Windows operating system, many
server components are installed and running automatically, even
without your knowledge.

Please be sure you have sufficient protective products installed and
properly configured.

1) (Re-)Install antivirus software (Norton Antivirus (NAV)).
Download latest updates from vendor web site (NAV can automate this
via LiveUpdate). For example, the Klez virus will disable and
destroy the antivirus software on the system, requiring a
re-installation from the original CD-ROM.

2) Visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. Download all "Critical
Updates" (rebooting after each one). Revisit the Windows Update site
repeatedly as needed after each reboot until all updates have been
installed.

3) Install "Critical Update Notification" package (in the Recommended
section).

4) Update antivirus software weekly (NAV can automate this via
LiveUpdate).

5) Run full system virus scans weekly (NAV can automate this via
Norton Program Scheduler).

6) If you do not require any of the server components (such as IIS),
do not select those options for installation. If you have already
installed such a component, please review the installed software in
Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and remove it. When a component
is installed, it is automatically running, perhaps without your
knowledge.

However, if, in the event you do require such a component, please
consider the use of alternative (and more secure) solutions for your
application software and remove the Microsoft equivalent. All of
these alternative solutions are available for free from the listed
manufacturer web sites.

a) To avoid Klez and other virus infections: Consider alternative
e-mail software such as Eudora (www.eudora.com) (for Windows) or
Mozilla (www.mozilla.org) (for Windows and Linux).

b) To avoid CodeRed/Nimda infections: Consider alternative Web
server software such as Apache (www.apache.org) (for Windows and
Linux).

c) To avoid SQL worm infections: Consider alternative database
software such as MySQL (www.mysql.com) (for Windows and Linux).

Also, be aware that running an Internet server (such as Web, Email or
Database servers) is prohibited as per the InsightBB Terms and
Conditions (www.insightbb.com/terms_conditions). Please be certain
to install a proper personal firewall product such as ZoneAlarm
(www.zonealarm.com) or Norton Personal Firewall (www.norton.com).
For multiple machines on a network, you should purchase a
firewall/router device such as a Linksys Cable/DSL Router
(www.bestbuy.com).

Insight Security

Oh, and I was running the queue on a Dual XP1800+ system with 512Megs of ECCp Registered DDR with 80G of HD...🙂

Until the evil Insight Empire took down the Federation....Insight must equal Borg! :Q

Thanks CKG...

tick tock tick tock...

Jeez that's alot of data to move....still a few more mins until she'll be up.

Sorry again😱

CkG

EDIT - Actually it isn't that much data as in size - but damn there are billions of individual files which = suck to move🙁

On a more positive note - at least they recognize that windoze sucks... 😛

(sorry Engineer, I couldn't resist... hee hee 😀)

I've had to move my Q a couple of times recently and each time it took almost 30 minutes. :Q

Should be ready to go😀

Now if you guy fill this 45Gb harddrive then I'm shutting the Queue down😉😛

Let me know if there are any issues 🙂
