You obviously have no idea what Christians believe or you wouldn't have asked such a stupid question.

Actually his question is quite valid. Christians need the myth of Jesus being the son of God or their religion vanishes in a puff of smoke. Without Jesus getting sentenced to death they can't invent the story of him rising from the dead. If he got 10 years in prison he would have been forgotten, the resurrection stories could not have been made up and the Christians would be Hare Krishnas or something equally stupid instead.

And all those poor priests wouldn't have altar boys to molest. It would be awful.

You also have no idea what you're talking about. Jesus was sent here to die, it was inevitable, and there wasn't a thing humans could do about it. Your ignorance and lack of any respect for another person's beliefs are clear. No, his question his not valid, and as a person who has obviously never read the Gospels I don't see why you would try to make a fool of yourself and start taking out of your ass.

ROFL!! Struck a nerve, didn't I? Actually Skippy, I read the Gospels. I read all 50 or so of them. I read the 4 your pathetic little cult wants you to believe and I read the other 40-something that your jackbooted stormtroopers killed millions of people to keep hidden. And you know what, nowhere in those Gospels does it state "Lo, the lord hath spoken and said priests can fondle children". Enjoy your religion and try to forget that the people with brains are laughing at you.

It isn't my religion. I just know what the religion is about. You should really find out the specifics of the things you make fun of or you just make yourself look like a fool.

To be specific on your foolishness. "The Church" isn't Christ. All the priests in the world can combine and start raping donkeys, it won't matter. To a true Christian the word of Jesus would remain the same. As for the stormtroopers comment, that is their own sins. Again, Jesus remains the same regardless of what people use his words to do.

As for "the people with brains," this I find the most amusing. Do you realize that modern society was constructed by Christians? American democracy, for example, was created by Christians. If you want to compare the achievemants of a single group, the Christians would take the cake. I don't mean to claim that they are better than any other group, but to claim that they have no brains is absurd.

Christianity celebrates life, not death. Just because Jesus got crucified doesn't mean Christians support the death penalty. It was about the resurrection, not the death.

WTF kind of logic is that? So I should support the death penalty because Jesus an innocent man was wrongly convicted and sentenced to death?!? Maybe we should be sending more innocent people to death, hay you never know any one of them may be some other religions profit.

I'm against the death penalty and I'm an atheist and even I could come up with a better argument to support it than that!

All organized religions are just that...religions. Those who are devoted to them will not seriously criticize them, or consider their contradictions.

Have faith my child.

Abdicate reason and you sell your soul.

Well, for the death penalty, the sentenced is supposed to be guilty while the unborn child is innocent. That's the difference there.

As for war, a "just war" is the only way war is moral. What is just? Ehh, look it up.

Despite the fact that I'm no christian, there are legitimate justifications for war.

What confuses me is when Christians can't comprehend that a moral code does not presuppose (or require) a god. That is a fairly recent theological innovation.

The first gospel which was written and is part of the NT was written by someone who had never known Jesus, but was a prosecuted Christian in Rome. He didn't once mention anything about Jesus being a Messiah or something. The second one was based on the first, and was a rewritten version by a Jew in Turkey (who had not known Jesus either) who decided the first one was not Jewish enough, and therefor copied part of the first gospel and rewrote the rest to add the Messiah part. The rest of the gospels in the NT were put to paper even later.

It's just that most Christians are not interested in anything resembling the truth if it does not comply with their view of the world or of Jesus.
