I live in an apartment right next to the woods and I keep getting the weirdest insects in my home (Mostly spiders) but as of lately I have been getting these weird looking things by my windows and I want to know what they are and what do they do or can do? to me or my cat (Who eats everything)

So are they dangerous? I have been getting alot of these in my house as of lately
I am mainly concerned is my cat eats one (My cat is Sagwa the eat everthing machine🙂)
 
Does it have a light on it's ass? I find it hard to believe someone would have a problem IDing a lightning bug. AFAIK they're harmless if eaten. I think my cats have. As a kid, I used to pull their lights off, and put them on my fingernails. Feel kind of bad about it now.
