With all the ATOT'ers looking at FAL's (probably half are idiots from illinois thinking they are going to buy a gun one day) they are contemplating changing the name to FAiL

assault rifle and are you concealed carry permitted?

that rifle is legal, if you noticed on the link IL was not listed in the no sales line ;)

and i do not CC because its illegal, unless on my property, which I almost never do unless someting went bump in the night.

CC made it through the rules comittee but it got filibustered :(

you couldnt CC that rifle anyways without a trenchcoat

handguns are permit only in a few places, like chicago

but I dont live in that hellhole

That's my point. Wasn't it you that thought they'd order a rifle there?
How is that your point? You're not being very clear, here. There is no AWB in IL, so people there should be able to order a FAL. What does that have to do with CC, anyway?

Technically speaking, the FAL isn't even an assault rifle, BTW.

Yeesh that's expensive. I have no idea what they usually go for, though.

Any semi auto .308 of reputation (M1/FAL/G3/AR10/etc) starts at $1250 *MINIMUM* for any quality brand $1500-2000 more realistically. These are brand spanking new for $1,095 from a quality manufacturer. The $500-600 .308 semis like CETMEs are pieces of junk hobbled together with 30 year old spare parts where they manage to scrap together one working rifle from ten broken ones.

In other words, this is a pretty awesome deal, DSA is pretty high up there on the quality first party manufacturer list (eg: all new parts made by DSA to exacting original specs or better).

And I missed it :( Been wanting to grab a M1 or FAL to compliment my PTR-91, I would have jumped all over this.

They get more in stock periodically.

They just got more DD AR-15's in stock...I might jump on this. VERY good price for a DD

If you want a 16", youre better off getting one with a mid-length gas system, like one from BCM. DD is quality, no doubt, but dont go with carbine gas systems unless youre getting a barrel at 14.5" or less.

$445 for the upper (with regular plastic handguards, rails are an option)

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-Lower-Receiver-Groups-M4-AR15-s/117.htm
$350 for the lower

Mid-length gas systems have a softer recoil.
