Attempted launch of my first model rocket failed :(

I don't think it was me however, I tried 2 different engines and all three igniters - no dice. I think I bad set of engines/igniters or maybe those Renewal batteries I had in the launcher just can't muster the voltage anymore. Anyway Ill get the bigger C6-5 engines for it and try again, I have the Alpha 3 starter kit. I know its lame, but Im joining a Rocketry group around here so I can get into the BIG stuff.

whatever you do, don't try to make a shoulder fired version... they don't work well at all.

we did it with a PVC pipe when I was in high school, the rocket clipped the edge of the PVC pipe as it came out, and it was just enough to turn the rocket around and head it straight back at us... damn near killed somebody.

Nobody had the balls to try to fire it again... I think the launcher is still in my dad's attic.
