Actually....The Soviet Union didn't have the bomb until 1949...four years after the surrender of Japan...just so you know...

I wasn't intending to refute your statement. I was making one of my own. I have not had a chance to read the thread, especiall the later posts encluding yours. I just chanced to see that comment without reference to who said it inside one of those big hourglass posts. I saw it, understood the plain English of what it said, not your intent perhaps, and commented that I have had exactly that plain English experience myself.
