In the past few days...toads (not sure what kind..) or some other kind of dried skinned amphibian have been migrating to my family's backyard...We have a pond in our yard and they can be found there making this incessantly ANNOYING noise..probably some kind of mating call or whatnot..

At first..it wasn't so bad--just one toad, but now there are probably 10...all within a time span of three days, and the noise is getting louder and more annoying. (We've had the pond for probably a year..but this hasn't been a problem until now)...From what i know..they don't have any real predators..so..anyone know what can be done to get rid of these toads?...something not involving an axe or a double barrel shotgun (S-MART's top of the line...shop smart..shop S-MART...sorry...I had to do it...)? =/

Snakes eat toads. I bet if you had a couple good sized black snakes on your property all your toad troubles would be over within a week. Too bad we kill all snakes we find anymore.

That loud creaking sound is soooo easy to fall asleep to. Growing up, we had a stream running close to our house and the toads/frogs would go crazy in the spring/summer. I miss that sound...

Heh, heh, I grew up in the country and never killed a snake, including rattlers, as long as they weren't a threat. Don't paint everybody with too broad a brush, Bud. :D
