In a totally uncharacteristic display of "lemming" like social activity, I got four tickets for opening day.

Guess this means I have to leave the house? ;)

Now rounding up 3 other suckers to go is gonna be the tricky part...

I probably won't run out and see this movie on the day it opens, unless there's a scene in it where Jar Jar dies a horrible, gruesome -- and above all, dialogue-free -- death.

oh hell yeah, star wars ep1 was a letdown but who cares?!?! it's STAR WARS!!!
I will see anything with lucas/williams/ilm you know you will be taken into another world, no matter how gay it is.
I just got the trilogy SE on dvd, now i just need to hook up my dts to really enjoy it.
Just wish they brought irvin kirshner back to direct one, but lucas is a control freak.
Check out the script leak posted at FW...Reading the battle that takes place at the end is mind boggeling. And yes yoda kicks some ass!

lol. its amazing how people can create a character that everyone just absolutely hates.
i read a game review about some episode 2 games coming out, and for one of the games, the developer said its 100% gungan/jar jar free
lol

How and where exactly did you get the trilogy on DVD?!?!?
PM me and I will send a link to buy.. shipping was $5 but it comes from malaysia and takes 2 weeks but this company was very good in handeling a customer service problem. I bought shaolin soccer, star wars ep 1 and 2 and, god of cookery(same guy in shaolin soccer). they were out of rotj. when my order came the god dvd did not work in my player so I asked for the rotj which they got back in stock. They sent rotj free of charge. I gave the god dvd to a friend which works in her dvd player, have no idea why it didn't work in mine, just kept spinning.

those dvds are pirated copies, you always see that kinda stuff in those asian countries, "dvds" out there in a matter of weeks after the movie is out

they have scene selection that's about it, and language settings maybe...but quality is sub-par most times

I'm going to do what I did with the last one....wait to see it two weeks after it opens. That way all the robe wearing, saber weilding geeks can see the movie 40 times and I won't have to wait in line in back of them

ya.. the DVD trilogy is just a LD > DVD conversion.. still better then owning the VHS i guess
as with VHS everytime you watch you degrade the quality.

hahah no way, braveheart owns!

This movie looks entertaining tho, ill definately check it out on the big screen. Espically since
they first said NYSNC was going to be in it as Jedi's then they told them that it wasnt going to happen.
Just noticed the movie is rated PG.. the last one they should make it NR-18.

<< Woot, now to find a digital theatre that has it for sale :) >>

If you go to theforce.net and pick Ep2 news then click on the link at the right for digital theatres you can see all of the digital theatres. This is a more updated and complete list than the useless one that pops up on google as the first match for when you search. I stupidly bought online tickets for LA AMC north media 6 BEFORE I called, they said they moved the digital projector to the santa monica LA AMC theatre! ARGH! I shoulda checked that link from theforce.net it even says they moved it. Non refundable of course.
linky to digital theatres for the lazy:

I dunno about "worst." I'm no SW apologist, but it was pretty decent, at least 2 maybe 2.5 stars worthy.

Don't get me started about how utterly crappy SWI was... I wait 20 fvcking years for Lucas to get off his dead a$$ and he gives me a "trade blockade"? What were they blockading? Did they want to prevent any Gungans like JarJar from getting offplanet? Sheesh, give me a break. The only cool parts were the saber battles and when QuiGon was trying to cut into the bridge of the one ship with just his SABER!
Hellz yeah!

But other than that Darth Maul was apparently napping when Obi Wan vaulted out of the ubiquitous pit and cut him in half. Yeah right...Throw me a frickin' bone here people! I will see AOTC but if Lucass let's me down again I may have to skip the final chapter just because he is a douchebag!

*edit to spell "douchebag" correctly *

WTF? I live in Toledo, OH....a fairly large, technically advanced city. We just had a new gigantic megaplex built, and have 5 other megaplexes in town. WHY IS THE NEAREST DIGITAL THEATER LOCATED 2 HOURS AWAY IN SOME MAYBERRY TOWN?????? We have two theaters listed in Ohio, and both of them are in cities with populations of less than 5000. What were they thinking????? On top of that...there's NONE in Michigan. C'mon movie owners! Plop out the cash, will ya?! That's it....I'm going to get a Pepsi.............

I was able to get mine on Saturday afternoon at Cinemark. I just had to advance the date a few days ahead. Piece of cake. I printed out the page with the confirmation number, and then picked up the tickets when I went to see Spider-Man that afternoon.

Now to plan my trip to Valley View to see it in a DLP theatre...
