Attaching pics to threads.

I used to be able to post an actual pic within the body of a thread. Not at this forum, but others. for some reason I can't get it to work correctly.
For example, the following is what I would enter into the thread. Of course I entered xxxx instead of http but you get the idea.

alpine7894.jpg

I have done this at two forums recently. one forum I know it used to work. Unless they changed something in their format. It just shows the infamous red X.

BTW, why does this forum not allow such things? Just curious.

because threads would be 100x longer and take ages to load. Not to mention the fact that I do not want to see every single picture.

Links are definitely better especially for those of us who surf while at work and don't wish to view inappropriate content at work.

There's also the huge potential of people abusing that feature, BANDWIDTH, and those poor folks who are on a S L O W dial up connection and aren't even subscriber!

Your host does not allow links from any site but AT. ( and a few others IIRC) because of the amount of bandwith that was being taken. in other words, people were abusing the host. That host was made so people on AT could post pictures on AT. Nto all over the net. I think Paulson set it so only AT and a few others are allowed.

Your weren't trying to post this pic as reply to my WTB: Alpine 7894 thread, were you? 😀 😀

Ummm, no I haven't seen that one. But if you are looking for one I am sure you know how nice they are. It's a great unit IMO and the best I have ever owned.
