Attaching a temp Probe

Not sure if there a way to ask this with out sounding stupid....

My case came with a temp probe for the CPU that runs to the display on the front of the display. I changed my HSF a while back, and the tape that came with the probe to attach it to the bottom of the CPU came off and wasn't sticky enough to re-attach it.

I need to know if I can substitute the peice of tape, or does anyone sell it? I doesn't seem like an item you'd see for sale anywhere, and I'd like it to not fall off this time.

It kind of reminded me of masking tape, but its been so long its hard to remember.

Thanks guys.

I am not sure if it would make a difference i guess it would matter where it was attached to the CPU. My case has a temp probe as yours does but i never bothered attaching it to the cpu. Instead i just put it next to the cpu and it managed to stay there just fine, and it seems to monitor the temperature pretty effectively too.

Yeah I just tuck mine near the cpu but if you wanted to tape it I think electrical tape would make the most sense to me

Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna eyeball it when my new processor comes in. I read somewhere that there was a display for the from of your comp that uses information from the motherboard to get information. I'll have to look into it, sounds like it would be more exact too.
