Attaching 2.1 speakers with TV, PC & DVD player

Hi,

I hv recently bought a new 2.1 channel speaker system. I want to use it with my PC as well as with my DVD player and TV?

Pls tell me is there any way to do it in such a way that if i start TV it starts with it and so on.....

Currently i am using it with my pc due to the fact that my DVD player has support for 5.1 channel and i am not able to understand how to connect it with 2.1 speakers.

The pictures taken of the ports etc are hereunder:

Does that part mean that you want it hooked up to everything and play any of the sources at any time, or would you be willing to do some cable switching of cables?

Your last pictures shows a 3.5mm Male/Male cable. If that's the cable that came with your computer speakers, that means that the signal cable (that you took a picture of) is detachable and there's a 3.5mm Female jack on the speakers themselves.

If that's the case, you'd need a cable like this to go from Male RCA to Male 3.5mm

If the 3.5mm cable is not detachable from the computer speakers, you'll need a Female/Female coupler with that cable to get the gender to match.

Could you describe your sources in more detail?

You said you want to use it with

PC
DVD
TV

The PC will have 3.5mm output
The DVD player has RCA output
Is the TV another source? Do you mean that you want to be able to use the computer speakers when using the internal tuner of the TV? Is there a cable box involved? If there's no cable box and you want to hook up to the TV as source (for non-DVD content), then it will still be easy to do if your TV has analog audio OUT. We can help you figure that out with a model number if you're not sure.

If you don't mind switching cables around, then it should be fairly straightforward. If you want easier switching, you could potentially get an audio switch and just have everything hooked up and switch audio sources with the touch of a button.

Also, some computer speakers have multiple inputs on them. What model do you have?
