Attache Case for .01 at Staples

On Sunday I ordered 10 of these, received an email confirmation for .01 each plus shipping of $7.95 for a total of $8.05! Wo-Ho!
Then today I get a phone call from Sue at Staples stating: "this was an error on their website and I will not be receiving the items I ordered". This is BS!
I thought I had finished all of my christmas shopping for next season. Do I have any recourse?
I still have the order confirmation that I printed. I thought about calling a lawer but he (or she) would probably want 9 of the 10 cases as payment.

They're really going to call ALL those people who ordered? Looks like the CSRs will have work laid out for them for about a month. :D

Actually, they now must honor the sale. I checked my credit card, it has been billed. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that means that they have accepted my offer to buy the case for 1 cent, and must ship it to me. I seem to recall other instances of companies being forced to ship if they have billed. We'll see, though.

Rats, guess I should have ordered them I had the chance. Was going to get 5,000 so I could get the free shipping on $50. orders. :)

Don't get too excited about this one. I got this same case for free from Staples awhile ago during some promotion. It's a piece of crap. Not even worth your time to order it.

Fritzo was right. DON'T CALL on stuff like this. Let the blind world of the internet work for you. Let the minimum wage can't read English bitter at the boss line workers decide if they want to ship your stuff or not.

"Hello, your company is so stupid it's offering a bag for a penny. Are you sure you're that stupid? Can I get one?"

The next thing is to call someone else and price match these things...

Got confirmation e-mail today, delivery tomorrow --- we'll see. Kinda like Christmas.

That's weird that it was, and is, showing up as full price for some people. I checked and its still .01 for me

I ordered two, got an e-mail confirmation right after, and have an expected arrival date of 2/26. Still says processing and I haven't gotten a call. We'll see.

I ordered 6 of these things. I then added the wingman for $8.94. I then applied the coupon to get 6 bucks off. Shipping was listed as 7.95 So my total was as follows

Bags $.06
Wingman $8.94
Coupon -$9.00
Shipping $7.95

For a total of $7.95

I never received an email about the order to confirm it. I recieved a call from the local staples today informing me they were out of the wingman and asked if i wanted to wait for one to come in stock. I said yes. When i Logon tonight and check my order status, I get this.

I have no idea how any of these things work out. It looks like they wanted to charge me full price, and taxed it that way, but then the total is a dollar over full price tax. Any ideas. fyi, still no email confirm from them.

8:00am this morning, there's a box on my doorstep. 5 Attache Bags, delivered for a Nickel!! Don't ask me why, but not only were mine a penny each, but I got free shipping too

I Ordered 20 of these things and today I checked the status of my order and they have all been sent out in 3 shipments to arrrive the 26th.

DillWeed: What are the quality of these cases? I know they can't be top of the line but are they at least decent?

They may have multiple web servers and it the new price hasn't replicated to all of them yet.
