Customers Can Switch Calling Plans within 90 Days of Enrollment, without Penalty or Need for Contract Renewal, If AT&T Wireless Offers a Better Deal !

I don't think Cingular or verizon offer this ?

I know verizon and sprint don't penalize customers for switching plans, although often the rep will ask to renew the contract, tell them you dont want to do that and they might not even extend it.

I know that for Verizon you can switch plans anytime and as often as you like. Plus it doesn't extend your contract unless you are swithing towards a special promotional plan. I've switched in and out of plans all the time. If you don't have an odd promo plan you don't lose anything.

its the same for ATT.
You can change plans as often as you like.
If you just change plans.... within the same set...
Like... you move from 29.99 National plan...to 39.99 National plan... etc... you dont even lose the special deals/ free gifts you had with ur initial plan (As far as I know).
Otherwise... you can change plans without extending contracts, but you wont get any of the special offers.
Only thing is that the new plan starts from the new billing cycle.
Thats all folks

with cingular, you can change plans anytime, no 90 day requirement. Also, they dont renew the contract, it just carries on (they look at the original date). Ofcourse, if your contract is currently expired and you try for the new rate, they will put you under a 1 year contract.

i have been changing my plans with cingular about every 6-9 months (there is always a better plan every 6-9 months) and they were always more than happy to help me with that. Infact, you can change plans w/ Cingular every day if you want.

PS: Cingular has been one of the best wireless provider for me in the SF Bay Area so far (~4 years now w/ cingular). I know that AT&T sucks big time in the Bay Area. Verizon is the best overall though. Sprint...dont even start. I have friends and relatives on all these different carries in the SF Bay Area and Cingular is the best in here. I do get dropped calls once in a while (like once in a week atmost) and thats only when i am traveling through low signal areas.

Same with t-mobile, I get the impression this is pretty much the same with every carrier, UNLESS its a "promotional" plan

Wow, what part of the bay your from? I had Cingular about a year ago and it dropped my calls all the time, I still hear other people complain about the coverage.

Yah what part of bay area?! When I was in San Jose (close to airport), I have to be close to my windows to receive signal. When I go to SFSU, no indoor place can get signal. My friend who have ATT seems getting signals all the time.

I'm also in the SF Bay Area, and I have ATT. My mom, sister, and several friends have Cingular, and all I've heard about them are complaints! Overall, my ATT works great, no complaints really. They even installed towers in the downtown SF BART/Muni stations last year, which has been awesome--I don't think anyone else works down there.
