I don't know about the other @home customers, but everyone from ATT@home should have gotten some letter in the mail from their marketing dept. - their trying to sell a modem to their customers so people can save $$ on their bill.

Anyhow, the modem is "Com21" (I don't know what model #). At any rate, I was wondering if anyone has experience w/this Com21 company and with their products. Just wanna gather more info before I plunk down $100 for a modem that might be a POS. Thanx.

I have a Com21 at home right now. It is better than the RCA Cable modem I paid $200 for a year and a half ago.

With buying these modems you don't see a speed increase at all do you? Just a price decrease?

QWest DSL using a FREE Cisco 675 router, I feel the need to call Viper GTS and b!tch about my DSL and "cup holder" not working properly. What's his number at work?

I personally think the com21 modem I lease from them is crappola, not nearly as good as the 3com I had when I lived in mass, but then again that is just my opinion

There is an extensive discussion of this in the Hot Deals forum. RCA, 3 Com, and Motorola all have these specials available on their Web pages. Most of these pages have an @home URL and a Roadrunner URL. I believe (but don't know) that AT&T intends to offer this to all it's users but the Web pages reject your attempt to buy with "authorization" from AT&T. These offers also include one free month of @Home (and probably RR too) and a ten dollar per month reduction in the monthly @Home charge.
