if you don't have a dual system and/or a 6800U or X800XT... if we're talking about a gaming system then a hefty OC'd A64 or FX would be up there with a high end dual system

Hmmm...I have an X800XT PE and 1GB RAM. That should put me in the top 1000, unless there are more than 1000 members with 6800U or XT PEs.

But the best system here would be near the bottom of the list at some other forums, like Xtremesystems. I was flipping through their overclock posts, and they have A64 at 2.9GHz and P4s at 5.4GHz stable. Guys post 18000+ scores on 3DMark03 using single cards (I belive NVidia has the unofficial 3DMark03 record of near 20k using a beta SLI setup).

Hmm... i was thinking MechBgon would have to have one of the top systems in the forums. Out of all 86000 users here someone has to have a phase change cooling with like 2gig of RAM, dual processors... SCSI.

Top 50 with that sucky drive? Oo I have dual 73GB 15krpm Seagate SCSI drives in a RAID0 and doubt I'd even be in the top 50 re storage subsystem performance since it's only two. OP should have specified best for what, btw, my ranking would put anyone with a CAD oriented video card way above pointless gaming ones for example...

Im talking about the most powerful system. Not for anyone thing... just all around the best of the best.

Sunase i dunno you could probably make it into the top 50.

I wouldnt go as far to say my HD is sucky. In fact its a great drive for normal use. Obviously your SCSI Raid 0 will be extremely good, but that does not mean mine is sucky by any means. Okay fine, I wont say im top 50. Im not gonna guess what i think I am because I have no idea anymore.

I have that same drive. It is in fact an awesome drive probably best 7200rpm drive out there... very quiet. But what your up against is the best.. the people who do volt mods everyday, the people who run RAID 5 with U320 SCSI drives... basically the best at the trade. Sorry dude your system is good but you dont know what your up against.

I am somewhere in the top 50 probably, I don;t really know how many lurkers are out there with better SCSI (I only have SCSI U160, not 320, but 5 in raid0 really do smoke!) or FX-53 supercooled.

are there 50 people registered that have phase change systems? at least you have to have an awesome tec with a giant watercooling setup to be in the top 50. i don't think you realize the nerdyness of the AT community

Lol.... SCSI= Good :p

Honestly Mech.... your system has to be somewhere up there, i remember back in the day someone posted something with SATA drives and was like this is really fast i think im pretty far up there now, then someone posted back and said he would be shunned by people like Mech and hte highrollers who use SCSI and RAID 5 and stuff.

Humor us with some specs.... i wish Anand would post here more often :-(
