I was just checking for updates on my phone, and then I saw the news of a new update available. The update requires the phone have at least 50% battery life to install.
You should be able to find the update through: Settings > About Phone > System Updates
I heard they also have an application settings to allow unknown sources so we can enjoy the amazon appstore now

Update: Installed the update and had a few minor issues with screen touch being reversed, but a quick reboot resolved my problems.
