In the interests of brotherhood, I'm starting a book list for those of us who spend a disproportionate amount of our waking time here.

My books to read for now:
The Age of Federalism, Elkins and McKitrick
Alexander Hamilton and the Growth of the New Nation, Miller
The Mystery of Capital, de Soto

My authors to check out eventually:
Livy
Polybius
Cornelius Nepos
Plutarch

i like Jim hightower. but the practicality of application of his views is greatly lacking.

The last thing i read was Foucault's Pendulum , or The name of the rose. For some reason I have'nt had an urge to read anything more than the newspaper since. It's kind of off, I was an avid reader most of my life.

Any of the Brian Jaques Redwall series, childish i know but ive been reading them for years and can't stop now!

Why would you pay money for drivel that you can get for free on talk radio. I actually read parts of "Savage Nation" at the book store, and it's exact same stuff he talks about on the radio all the time, and is actually written in a talking points format suited for radio, but too simplistic for a book.

Yeah - that's been on the top of my list too. That book is a pretty tough find.

Its a good book. And reading the larry elder books is good because he has sources for his claims, radio doesnt offer time for that. You were asked to list books not criticize.

Hmm. Some good books recently that I've read are Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond and The Future of Freedom by Fareed Zakaria. Excellent books.

At the least, Hightower is a good read. I never could get into Michael Moore.

I don't read to much fiction but I like John Irving and Dave Berry when I have free time.

Mainly I read journals put out like "Chemistry of Materials" or "Science" which I find more infinitly more interesting and productive.
