Uninstalled!. I suspect someone running file sharing through my account. IT called me up and asked if I was running something like bittorrent.


I uninstalled Skype and no more massive traffic through my machine!

Skype does indeed run in a peer to peer environment. Not for file sharing, however. That isn't to say that it isn't possible your account was somehow compromised, and used for such - just an informative announcement.

Yes! You can pay an extra fee, and they will give you access to call "normal" phone numbers. The basic VoIP service among Skype users is free though....
