How can there be just one? I would say how he lives his life is the most important, because it combines all traits. Honesty, intelligence, Godliness, etc. It's how he lives his life that makes him attractive and is his most important feature.

Godliness. Eek, another one bites the dust.

Gotta have that narrowing down of the ranks guys, some little quirk that you're not willing to do. Helps me find just the right guy for me. :)

Off topic, I have two gal friends who rate a guy's hotness like this: "convert or not convert?" meaning, is he hot enough to convert for. Yeah, I have some strange friends.

maybe I'm rather simple in my tastes but aside from the basics I'd say the most important trait in a man is that he like me :D

Intelligence, by far. I can be with a so-so (or even goofy) looking guy if he's smart, but I've tried the hot and dumb thing and just felt homicidal.

The good thing about intelligence is that it normally (not always) affords that person other good qualities (good, dry sense of humor; not usually freakishly biased against anyone; morally sound; etc.).

smart, funny, intelligent blah blah blah ....
heard it too many times ....
those are the traits they want in the guy that they would want to marry...

but for dating(have fun before i get marry) wise....
most of them they still go for the bad boy/stud who is standing right next to ya...
:)

There's no way I'll settle for one: He has to be good-looking, tall, have a handsome face, physically fit, respectful, courteous and have common sense (he doesn't have to be overly smart).
I will not settle for one. All of the attributes measure up the same to me and are intertwined. :)

Some women do, I never have... or if they were "bad," they straightened up right quick when we got together.

What if he is rich, a gourmet chef, and goes down on you every night for as long as it takes?
Would you over look short?
