Anyone up for some musical virtual collaboration?

We welcome you to join us and contribute to the ATOT band projects. :)

We are already up and running, so I threw up a rough project outline so as to not fall too far behind. Be sure to check back with the OP to see the current projects and updates.

Nice!,

Cowbell, Bass or 3, couple guitars, keyboards, Roadie, groupie and a fake vocalist...foot percussion!

Looks like we have enough interest to justify a thread :)

I'll take the next couple days to work out a good workflow and how to submit tracks, etc.

In the meantime, perhaps some suggestions on genre or songs to cover to get started.

Now all we need is some hotties to be groupies and post some semi-nude pics.

No, go ahead and post your stuff within the thread.

I'll keep the OP for the proper tracks and naming conventions....and thats where everyone will be looking as we get going, but by all means just post anything within the thread because it helps generate interest and gives everyone something to play around with prior to the actual tracks being posted to the OP.

also, anything we posted in the past thread or even some of the tunes out of my music thread are availabe to work with if we'd like.

I'll toss some stuff out here...these are very fresh and UNFINISHED pieces that I've been working on. I have created drum/bass/guitar tracks for them, some of the parts have solid leads, some don't yet. There are clams here and there, etc.

I can provide the shell copies of the jams too but I need to find some time after work one day and remix them.

If you want to take them in a completely different direction you're more than welcome. Marty, untitled2 has a really quiet bass line (I fucked up the mastering) and I could really use a fresh set of eyes on it. I'm thinking sort of a p-bass sound, very trebly/punky since there is plenty of low end in the song from my semi-hollow guitar.

Yup, those 2 are excellent!

Ideally, I'll see if I can figure out how to dedicate a place on my own site for uploading individual tracks to (if possible its possible, I dunno, never tried it before) otherwise, over the next couple days I'll figure out and post various methods for contributing seperate tracks, proper naming conventions and such to the OP.

Well, I have been an amateur drummer for about 25 years. I have my own set, mics, and firewire mixer. I play mostly rock and would be willing to contribute.

Awesome! We've always been in short supply with contributing drummers. We could build off one of your drum track(s), or have you replace a programmed drum track...which would be great!

I'm more of a follower in that respect, I like to be inspired, and only then will I add direction :p

(((((noise/fuzz))))) mmm, needed a good noise break so I mixed some more guitar onto untitled2.

I put some of my Jazzmaster in the mix here (the noise), the drones are achieved by liberal application of the tremolo into a nice little dual fuzz/oscillator/analog delay concoction I made.
