You don't seem to understand the reason I require an email address. You will get an email with a link to actiavte your position on the map, therefore "username@provider.com" won't work.

105 people have signed up so far, but only 48 have activated themselves through the link sent by email. You'd think that the people on this forum would know how to use email. Also, roughly 12% of people that have signed up used emails that are very obviously fake. Some people just don't seem to get it.

<< the email verification thing stinks....theres like 5 friggen dots on the map. >>

well, we can go back to the old one if you want to be the guy to remove a new "ATOT IS GAY" message every five minutes.

Anyway, using asdf@asdf.com isn't helping anything.

90,000 people managed to register for this forum, which requires email verification, but the same people are afraid to do the same thing on my map.

I'M NOT GOING TO SPAM YOU GUYS, I'M JUST TRYING TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM ABUSING THE SITE.

the scary thing is that he actually registered a hotmail account to do that.

Anyway, that address has been banned.

You see why I have to require the email addresses yet?

I could, but it doesn't have the resolution I wanted. Also, I'm kinda worried about having to draw political lines on top of it (i.e., state boundaries), so that people can better tell where they are, that woudl be a lot of work. I figured if I'm oging to be doing that, I might as well start with the highest possible resolution.
