So I've been looking for a new place to live. When I first moved to Boston, I moved to Quincy, which is outside the city and far from everything and anything. Slowly but surely, I stopped going home (crashing on friend's couches, etc.), but still paid rent. Now, it's turned into a nightmare - I have an office downtown and hardly EVER find myself going home.

Fast forward to September - I'm apartment hunting in the North End (Italian Section) and find this really nice two bedroom. I find this girl on Craigslist as a potential roommate and she is also interested. But then I leave for my sister's wedding, and I tell her OK, and she rents the apartment on her own (without a roommate), as I couldn't make up my mind.

Now, she's still looking for someone to move in, and I really like the place, but I'm not quite sure on living with a random girl. She seems normal, but so do most girls. Part of me says go for it, the other part of me is hesitant.

So what gives ATOT?

Sure I've lived with lots of girls, they're just human beings. Last year I lived with a really hot lass and even got some drunken poontang towards the end of the year.

While there is no way i would do it, the potential for great stories on your end leads me to suggest you do it.

Go for it! Whats the worst that could happen?

I don't like roommates regardless of sex. I wouldn't move in unless she was my girlfriend.

Maybe this is a cultural thing, but this is very strange to me. Why would you discriminate based on gender? Over here it's downright unusual to live in an all-male or all-female house. Everyone I know (that isn't living with their parents) lives in a mixed-gender house.

dude, quincy is so not far away from everything and anything. it is directly next to the largest city in new england, and it's covered in highways and public transportation. that said, would never commute from quincy point to post office square on the T.

But then I leave for my sister's wedding, and I tell her OK

tell her ok i'm moving in, or ok i'm outta here?

if i may ask, what the hell is the price for a north end 2-BR? i value a nice kitchen and bath, so i definitely couldn't afford that town.

My last 2 roomies were girls

the good stuff:
1. free food
2. they clean the place up
3. they hang around with a lot of girls and so you get to know more chicks
4. They smell good

Bads
1. If you share bathroom, sometimes the fucking bathtub gets clogged up
2. women are sometimes just nasty when it comes to personal hygiene
3. moody from time to time
4. you gotta listen to how bad their fucking day was, which is a daily ritual.

Hopefully she is single. Ask her, and if she is, and the pics are good, then maybe. That would be pretty sick. Just be prepared to wait long until you can use the bathroom.

And Utility bills, make her pay 75% or more. Unless you bring in your 1000kW 500GB Nvidia Quad SLI, 8TB of RAM, Windows15, i28 1500 256bit processor, DirectX25, Crysis 5 for breakfast, computer.

Because most women are batshit crazy.

Women are too emotional and complain about EVERYTHING. You'll have to listen about how bad her day was, the gossip around her work place, how much of an ahole her current bf is but she's still with him, and other crap. Oh and sharing a bathroom with a girl sucks even more. She's not going to be your girlfriend or anything like that so it's not like you can tell her what to do or even to make you a sammich. I'd say hell no to it. Find a guy to live with.

I voted no, because you should move back to NJ.

Also because you didn't post pics

I think there would just be too much sexual tension and pent-up frustration if she decides she doesn't want to sleep with you.
