Actually, most of the people have indicated (through email )that they'd like to spend around $20.00 with a few exceptions.

that seems fine to me but that also means that someone wont be getting a wireless explorer mouse cause thats around 35.

You know it's weird... but I faced the same problem... did you know that it still works out if you have an odd number of people participating? Just do it on paper (ie. 9 people... match them up with each other), you'll see what I mean.
