iirc, someone was neffing that one shouldn't store butter in the fridge. Other joined in, long thread and hilarity ensued and it became known as "the butter thread".

also, there was the one where skoorb faux complained about his parents and faked being a spoiled primadonna ala parody thread...and fooled many people into believing he was being genuine. aka the skoorb effect.
