At least HAL9000 won't survive because he doesn't support the right to defend yourself. He'd just let the zombies eat him.
Hmm... I'm fairly confident I never said that. But thanks for making up stuff about me!

Don't you want to ban guns?
serious question:
Would you ever, under any circumstance, blow a zombie?
I don't want to, it's happened. I don't believe in personal gun ownership. I never said anything about "the right to defend yourself"
No personal gun ownership = no right to defend yourself
That's fucking retarded. If you can't defend yourself without a gun that's your problem, but it doesn't apply universally. Some people can believe it or not!
And some people can't - I'm a 5'3" woman and a disabled vet - chances are that I MIGHT be able to defend myself against an intruder, but I don't think it's very practical to hope that all potential intruders are one-armed stubby chicks. In the event that the intruder is NOT a short crippled chick (or there's more than ONE short crippled chick) I will thoroughly appreciate my right to defend myself WITH A GUN in my own home.
You're right - it's my problem. And I choose to deal with that problem with various deadly weapons that in the interest of home safety and security I have made sure I'm more than competent with.
OK that's fine and all, but just because you don't have the capacity to defend yourself doesn't mean you don't have the right.

I DO have both the capacity to defend myself AND the right to do so... I live in a country where private gun ownership is a right.
Denying her the right to bear arms is denying her the right to defend herself.
