Could be a little of both. People definitely player looser when the money isn't real, but the pride still is real, so you can play a little off of that.

Do you play in real games at all?

Rob

I play in real games in real life. I can't really get a feel if someone is full of sh!t or really playing for real online. I guess it's fun to live the fantasy of going all in. I'll be back on the game later tonight after I read up on how to refill the account with more play money.

That's why I was asking. :)

I play real life/real money, but it's easy to practice online to get a feel for how people bet, and when. No read on emotions/faces but you can read betting patterns pretty easily. I do decently at both.

Yeah, I'm up around there too. I play like I do in real life, though, so playing online is more of an exercise in learning betting patterns (quick call on a flush draw, etc.) than anything else. :) It's still fun to play for pride, but I know it doesn't translate into how real money works. It's harder to take people for big pots with real money, though I have done it before. People are just more cautious. :D
